GRgreen II Nucleic Acid Dye
GRgreen II is a non-carcinogenic and non-toxic Anthocyanine macromolecular nucleic acid dye, alter♍native to Ethidium bromide used for the detection of nucleic acids in agarose gels. The dye has maximum fluorescence excitation at 295nm and 490nm. When combined with DNA, the maximum value of fluorescence emission is similar to EtBr, which is located at about 530nm (green fluorescence).
After electrophoresis, the gel can be directly obserꦰved under ultraviolet light, and the band is blue-green. At the same time, the solution does not contain toxic DMSO, so G💞Rgreen II nucleic acid electrophoresis dye is a good choice to replace EB.
